ERIS, Chicago’s first women-owned brewery and cider house, came to us looking to completely rebuild their website and provide fresh, original content to help better tell their brand’s story.
The first step was meeting with the ERIS leadership team to understand their vision, goals, and what they were hoping to communicate with their website.
Their team was on the verge of a distribution increase so they wanted a website that had more branding and cohesion than their existing site. This would serve as the overall goal with the site build from color and font choices to how we executed new photography assets.
After determining the vision and goals for the website, we knew a refreshed look for photography would be the driving force behind how everything looked. Using moodboards, we identified the new look and feel, and started culling through ERIS’ existing library of images to refresh some selects that would work well on the new site.
When building out our content map, we identified five areas of content we’d need to photograph:

+ Online Store & Merch
+ Product Photography
We worked with the ERIS team to develop their new Squarespace site with custom CSS and give the website a seamless mobile and desktop experience. Most customers would be visiting the site on mobile through in-store QR codes so curating the site for a mobile-first mindset was top of mind in our rounds of development.
After the look and feel of the site was established and built out, we worked on getting their e-commerce shop set up, migrating their existing site, and finally training and handing off keys to manage the site on their own.
